Trim the Fat from the City Budget
I am ready to roll up my sleeves and work hard with City Council and City Staff to recreate a lean budget that is balanced and economically feasible— one that includes filtering out redundant services that are just wasting your tax dollars.
We will not balance the budget by cutting salaries of the rank and file City employees, but instead, focus in on those things that are wasteful and benefit only a select few.
Clean up Crime in Columbia
As mayor, I will ensure that our police, firefighters and
first responders are fully-budgeted, trained and equipped to
perform their duties for our safety and well-being, as well as theirs.
All of our neighborhoods and parks will once again be safe and secure. As your next mayor, I will work closely with Chief Carter, Chief Anderson and Public Safety Director King as well as neighborhoods and businesses to insure the safety of all our public places.
And, as citizens of our beautiful Columbia, your voices will be heard loud and clear.
A Green Columbia
As a child, my greatest treat on Saturday afternoon was driving over the Gervais Street Bridge to look at the river and the rocks below. That's why my vision for our city includes protecting and promoting this thriving garden on the banks of the grand Congaree River.
The Midlands Region will attract businesses, families, visitors and students to the area in untold numbers over the next decade—all of whom want to be a part of our mild climate, our beautiful landscapes and our great potential.
But only if we realize our vision of a "Lean, Clean and Green" Columbia!
Join me in a new vision for Columbia!
